The trail climbs steeply out of Picket Pin Creek, then angles to the left through Aspen and Lodgepole Pine until coming to the lake. Anderson Reservoir offers good fishing, pleasant hiking and during the fall of the year the Water Lilies bloom in abundance.

Elevation: Starts at 8,759 feet and ends at 9,344 feet (highest point 9,358 feet)
Elevation Gain: +599 feet – 14 feet = +585 feet
Open To: HIKING, HORSEBACK RIDING
Access:
• The Anderson Reservoir Trail is located 44 miles east of Meeker.
• From Meeker, take State Highway 13 east for 1 mile.
• Where Highway 13 turns north, turn east on Rio Blanco County Road 8 for 39 miles.
• Turn south on the Trappers Lake Road (FDR 205) for 4 miles to Anderson Reservoir Trail at Picket Pin Creek.

• THIS TRAIL IS USED FOR MULTIPLE ACTIVITIES INCLUDING HIKING AND HORSEBACK RIDING.
